These Terms of Service govern your use of ClipShare, including normal shares, local clips, and ClipShare Snap.

By using ClipShare, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

I. Service Description

1. Time-Limited Sharing Service

  • ClipShare supports temporary sharing of text, images, and non-image files up to 5MB. Images are compressed to a target size of up to 1MB.
  • A normal share remains available for about 10 minutes after creation
  • After expiry, the share code and link stop working and the content enters the deletion flow

2. Local Clips

  • Text and images may be saved in the current browser
  • Local clips are not sent to the sharing service unless you choose Share
  • Non-image files cannot be saved as local clips and can only be shared directly

II. Acceptable Use

When using ClipShare, you must:

  • Comply with applicable laws and regulations
  • Avoid uploading, storing, or sharing illegal, infringing, or unauthorized content
  • Avoid submitting malicious code, malware, or content intended to harm the service or other users
  • Avoid abusing, attacking, probing, or interfering with ClipShare or its infrastructure

We may restrict or terminate access when these rules are violated or when action is needed to protect the service, users, or third parties.

III. Sharing Risks

  • Anyone with a valid share code, link, or QR code can open the content while the share is active
  • You are responsible for sending access details only to the intended recipient
  • You are responsible for deciding whether ClipShare is appropriate for the content you submit

IV. Storage and Deletion of Content

  • Normal shares become unavailable about 10 minutes after creation and then enter the deletion flow
  • ClipShare cannot prevent someone with a valid share code or link from opening or copying the content before expiry
  • Local clips remain in the current browser and cannot be recovered by ClipShare after site data is cleared

V. Intellectual Property Rights

  • ClipShare's interface, software, branding, and original site content are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws
  • You retain any rights you already hold in content you submit
  • You must have the right to submit and share that content and must not infringe the rights of others

VI. Disclaimer

  • ClipShare is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without a guarantee of uninterrupted or error-free operation
  • Availability may be affected by network failures, maintenance, third-party services, browser limitations, or events outside our reasonable control
  • You are responsible for maintaining your own copies of important content and for losses caused by expired links, cleared browser data, device problems, or misuse

VII. Interruption and Termination of Services

We may suspend, change, or discontinue part or all of ClipShare for maintenance, security, product changes, legal requirements, or violations of these terms.

We may update these terms when the service or applicable requirements change. The current version will be published on this page.

Additional Terms for Snap

When you use Snap, you also agree to the following rules:

  • Snap is intended only for temporary, replaceable, short-lived sensitive information. It is not suitable for permanent credentials, seed phrases, master keys, or other irrecoverable secrets.
  • Once a Snap message is viewed successfully, or once 10 minutes pass from creation without a successful view, the related link and content may expire and cannot be restored.
  • You are responsible for evaluating the trustworthiness of the recipient and the delivery channel. Any consequence caused by forwarding, screenshots, screen recording, copying, or third-party access is your responsibility.
  • We do not guarantee that Snap will work on every device, network, or browser state. A Snap can be revealed only once, so closing the page, reaching the time limit, link expiry, local browser state, or user error may permanently end access from that link.

Snap is intended to reduce exposure time and does not constitute a promise of long-term storage, absolute confidentiality, or compliant archival of confidential information.
