Content and storage rules
This section explains what you can share, how another device can open it, and how long the data remains available. ClipShare is for temporary transfers, not long-term storage.
How to share text, images, and files
Share text or a link
Paste it into the input, then select Quick Share. The other device can enter the code, open the link, or scan the QR code and copy the content.
Share an image or screenshot
Paste a screenshot or choose an image file. Large images are compressed automatically, which works well for interfaces, errors, receipts, and design references.
Share a small file
Choose a file up to 5MB to create a temporary share. This is best for an attachment someone needs now, not for cloud-style long-term storage.
Open it on another device
Scan the QR code when the devices are nearby. For remote or asynchronous sharing, send the link or code through chat, SMS, email, or another channel.
If a code, upload, or QR scan fails
Most failures come from an expired share, an incorrect code, a blocked browser permission, or a file outside the supported limits.
The share code is invalid
Normal shares stop working after about 10 minutes. The content may also have been deleted, or the code may contain a typo. Creating a new share is usually fastest.
The QR code will not open
Check that the phone is online and the QR code is still valid. If camera scanning fails, open the share link or enter the code manually.
Paste or upload fails
Check clipboard and file permissions, then confirm the file is within the size limit. You can also choose the file directly or retry in a private window.
Image quality changed
Images over 1MB are compressed automatically for faster, more reliable transfer. Use a file transfer tool designed for originals when lossless quality matters.
