Privacy Policy

Welcome to ClipShare (hereinafter referred to as "this website"). We attach great importance to user privacy and data security. This privacy statement is used to explain how we process data generated during your use of this website.

I. Description of Services We Provide

1. Time-Limited Sharing

  • Users can share text, images or small files with others via generated sharing codes. Images larger than 1MB will be automatically compressed.
  • Shared content is valid for 10 minutes after generation and will be automatically deleted upon expiration.
  • During the validity period, anyone who obtains the sharing code can access the content.

2. Local Records

  • Text, images or small files are only stored in the user's local browser.
  • Data is not transmitted over the network and is only visible to the user self.

II. How We Process Shared Content

When you use the sharing function, the text, images or small files you actively submit will be temporarily stored on the server, solely for providing access services to users with the sharing code.

  • Shared content will not be used for any purpose unrelated to sharing.
  • Shared content will automatically expire and be deleted after 10 minutes.
  • We will not actively extend the storage time of shared content.

III. Risk Tips for Shared Content

Please understand and confirm:

  • During the validity period, anyone who obtains the sharing code can read the corresponding content.
  • Do not upload content containing sensitive information or personal privacy.
  • Do not upload any content unsuitable for public dissemination.

IV. Description of Local Storage Data

  • Locally stored data is only saved in your device and browser.
  • This website cannot access, collect, or upload this data.
  • Clearing browser data may result in loss of local content.

V. Logs and Technical Information

To ensure normal operation and security of the website, we may collect necessary technical information, such as:

  • Access time
  • IP address, browser type (User-Agent)

These server-side logs are only used for operations, security, and anti-abuse purposes. We do not use them ourselves for ad personalization or user profiling.

Analytics, Advertising, and Cookie Notice

To improve site performance, understand usage, and keep advertising review or ad serving compliant, we may rely on the following third-party services:

Google Analytics (GA4)

We use Google Analytics to collect aggregated statistics such as page views, session duration, device type, and traffic sources. This data helps us understand site performance and is controlled by your consent choices.

Microsoft Clarity

We use Microsoft Clarity to understand how visitors interact with pages, including clicks, scrolls, heatmaps, and session replay data, so we can identify usability issues and improve the product.

Google AdSense

If this site loads the Google AdSense review script or serves ads after approval, Google and its partners may use cookies or similar technologies to verify, serve, limit, and measure ads. Whether ads are personalized or non-personalized depends on your location, available Google settings, and your consent choice on this site.

Monetag

We may test Monetag in-page ad formats, such as In-Page Push and Vignette Banner, on content pages including articles, help, and FAQ pages. Monetag and its partners may use cookies or similar technologies to serve, limit, measure ads, and prevent abuse.

Adsterra

We may test Adsterra native ad placements on article pages. Adsterra and its partners may use cookies or similar technologies to serve, limit, and measure ads, and to maintain ad safety.

These services may process your IP address, approximate location, browser and device information, and on-page interaction data. Input fields are masked where possible, and we do not use shared or imported content for ad personalization.

For visitors in the EEA, the UK, and Switzerland, non-essential analytics and advertising-related storage remains disabled until consent is granted.

If you want to limit or refuse this processing, you can:

VI. User Responsibility

Users are responsible for the content they upload and share. This website does not bear any responsibility for any consequences caused by active sharing by users.

VII. Changes to Privacy Statement

We may update this privacy statement according to functional adjustments or legal requirements. The updated content will be published on this page.

VIII. Contact Us

If you have any questions or suggestions about this privacy statement, please contact us through the contact information provided on the website.

Snap Feature Notice

If you use Snap, we handle related content and technical data in the following way:

  • The Snap content you submit is processed and stored temporarily only to generate a one-time link and deliver the message to a visitor who opens that link.
  • Snap content becomes unavailable after the first successful view. Even if nobody opens it, the link and related content expire and are deleted automatically within 10 minutes.
  • To reduce repeated reveals, the browser may store a local “viewed” marker. This marker is only used to control repeat display locally and does not contain the message body.
  • When a Snap link is created or opened, we and related infrastructure may process necessary technical data such as IP address, user agent, access time, and request status for delivery, security, rate limiting, and abuse prevention.

Snap is designed to shorten the exposure window, not to provide absolute security or long-term custody. Do not use Snap for permanent credentials, seed phrases, or irreplaceable core secrets.

Note: This page is a simplified overview of the privacy policy to help understand ClipShare's data processing methods. The actual system behavior shall prevail.
